Assets

Users have the option to store an array of file types. These encompass images, videos, audio clips, 3D objects, PDFs, and GIFs.

How to Store Assets

To add assets, simply click the "+" button to open the file upload page.

You have the option to upload a file from your device or paste the URL of an online asset.

After selecting the desired file, you will be prompted to provide a name and description to distinguish it from other files.

Next, depending on the type of file, it will be saved under the All filter.

That's it! Your file is now saved in the dashboard, ready to be used in the metaverse.

How to View Assets in the Metaverse

To view your assets within the metaverse, click on the object, and a room will open where the asset is placed.

How to share assets

You can share assets with specific users, other XR creators, or make them public. This feature is particularly convenient if you want to share assets that others can use in their XR projects or in the Metaverse.

Sharing Assets with Specific Users:

To share assets with specific users, click the share option in the dropdown menu of the asset you wish to share and select “Share with Specific Users.” This will enable an option to enter the email address of a person on the platform. They will then be able to see the shared assets in their dashboard, XR editor, and Metaverse.

Shared assets will display a shared icon to differentiate them from other assets:

Making assets public

To make assets public, select the “Public” option in the dropdown menu. This will make your assets available to everyone on the platform.

Sharing assets with XR Creators:

If you have XR Creator permissions on the platform, you can share assets with other editors and make your work public for them to see. As with other shared assets, people will be able to use your objects or work in their projects or Metaverse scenes.

Simply click the “Share with XR Creator” option that appears once you have permissions. All XR creators will then be able to use the shared assets.

Archiving Assets

You can archive your shared assets so that other users no longer have access to them. To do this, open the dropdown menu of a shared asset and select the “Archive” option.

Access from Multiple Locations

You can access and store media files in Assets from various points within our platform, such as the dashboard, metaverse, landing page, or even the metaverse editor.
