Managing Your User Account
While an account is not required to explore the Metaverse, creating one unlocks additional features, such as:
- Uploading custom avatars
- Saving avatars to My Avatars
- Uploading custom projects
- Preserving objects in a Verse
- Using Verse moderation tools
- Storing files
Creating an Account
To create an account from the Metaverse:
- Click the Login button on the left side of the screen.
- Navigate to the Sign Up section.
- Enter your email address and password.
- After signing up, access the user dropdown menu via the login button, where you can:
- Change your avatar
- Change your name
Changing Name & Avatar
Upon entering a Verse for the first time, you can select a name and avatar. You can update these at any time by following these steps:
- Click the Avatar menu in the top left corner.
- Select Edit Avatar.
- Choose from:
- Featured avatars available in the Metaverse.
- Create your own avatar using the built-in customization tools.
- Upload a custom 3D model for a unique look.
Custom avatars are saved under the My Avatars tab and linked to your account.
Advanced User Settings
Advanced user settings allow you to customize your individual experience in the Metaverse.
To access these settings:
- Open the More dropdown menu.
- Navigate to the Settings section.
- Adjust the audio, graphics, and accessibility options to fit your needs.
General Settings
The General Settings tab provides customization options for language, UI visibility, and general performance enhancements.
Setting | Description |

Language | Sets the interface language (default: browser language). |
Theme | Allows users to select a custom interface theme from the ones we offer. |
Nametag Visibility | Controls when users nametags are displayed (Always, Nearby, Never). |
Nametag Visibility Distance | Adjusts the distance at which nametags are shown. |
Animate Waypoint Transitions | Enables smooth animations when moving between waypoints. |
Show FPS Counter | Displays the frame rate counter for performance monitoring. |
Disable Auto-Exit (Multiple Verse Instances) | Prevents your session from auto-closing when multiple Verse instances are open. |
Disable Auto-Exit (Idle/Backgrounded) | Prevents your metaverse session from exiting when the browser tab is idle. |
Enable Verse Media Lazy Loading | Improves performance by only loading media when needed. |
Cursor Size | Adjusts the size of the cursor for better visibility. |
Audio & Video Settings
The Audio & Video Settings allows you to adjust volume levels, enable spatial audio effects, and configure microphone and speaker settings.

Voice Volume | Adjusts the volume of voice chat. |
Media Volume | Controls the volume of all media elements like videos and audio clips. |
Special Effects Volume | Changes the volume of environmental and special effects sounds. |
Panning Quality | Adjusts spatial audio effects for immersive sound positioning. |
Disable Sound Effects | Turns off all sound effects. |
Disable Mic Echo Cancellation | Disables automatic echo reduction for microphones. |
Disable Mic Noise Suppression | Turns off noise suppression, useful for professional audio setups. |
Disable Mic Auto Gain Control | Prevents automatic microphone volume adjustments. |
Enable Audio Clipping | Allows audio signals to clip when exceeding a certain threshold. |
Audio Clipping Threshold | Sets the limit for when audio clipping occurs. |
Show Audio Debug Panel | Displays advanced debugging options for audio settings. |
Disable Audio L/R Panning | Prevents left/right stereo panning effects. |
Integrated Webcam | Allows users to select and configure their video input device. |
Graphics Settings
The Graphics Settings tab provides options to adjust rendering quality, shadows, and post-processing effects.

Material Quality | Determines the level of detail for object materials (Low, Medium, High). |
Enable Real-time Shadows | Toggles real-time shadows for improved realism. |

Enable Post Processing Effects (Experimental) | Enables advanced visual effects such as bloom and depth of field. |
Enable Bloom Effect | Toggles a soft glow effect on bright objects. |
Anti-Aliasing Mode | Controls anti-aliasing quality (default: 4x MSAA). |
Controls Settings
The Controls Settings let users adjust movement settings, joystick behavior, and touchscreen controls.
Movement Settings

Rotation (in degrees) | Adjusts how much the camera rotates per input (Q and E controls). |
Disable Movement | Prevents movement entirely. |
Disable Backwards Movement | Prevents your avatar from moving backward. |

Movement Speed | Adjusts how fast the avatar moves. |
Touchscreen Settings
