Exploring & Navigating Verses
You have the option to either create your own Verse or join an existing one.
Our Metaverse is accessible through a web browser, making it compatible with various devices, including desktops, mobile devices, and VR headsets.
Creating a Verseβ
You can create a new Verse using XR Creator Studio:
- Open XR Creator Studio and start a new project.
- Build your scene by adding 3D objects, images, and interactive elements.
- Click Launch and select Deploy to Metaverse.
- Once published, a unique URL for the Verse is generated.

Joining an Existing Verseβ
To enter an existing Verse, you can:
- Click on a shared link.
- Use a Numeric Code: Enter the numeric code associated with the existing Verse (useful for VR headsets).
- Browse and join public Verses listed on the Metaverse homepage.
Upon joining, youβll enter the Verse Lobby, where you can:
- Observe ongoing activities
- Chat with others
- Configure your microphone and speakers settings before fully entering the space
Joining on Desktop or Mobileβ
- Click the shared link to the Verse.
- Choose an avatar and adjust your microphone settings.
- Click "Enter" to enter the space.
2D Navigation (Desktop Mode)β
Navigating a Verse in 2D mode is straightforward, similar to a traditional online multiplayer experience.
- WASD or Arrow Keys to move around
- Hold Shift while moving to increase speed
- Use the Space Bar to open menus
- Press G to toggle flying mode
Joining a Verse in VRβ
If you (or someone else) has already accessed a Verse on a desktop or smartphone, you can use the "Enter on VR" option in the lobby to generate a numeric code.
This simplifies access from standalone VR headsets like Oculus Quest, Oculus Go, or Samsung Gear VR.
Steps to Join a Verse in VR with a Numeric Codeβ
First: Open the Verse on Desktop or Smartphoneβ
- Open the Verse URL in a browser.
- Before entering, choose "Enter on VR".
- A modal window will appear with a numeric code and short URL.
Second: On Your Oculus or Standalone VR Deviceβ
- Open your browser and go to verse.mud.doundation/link (or the short URL shown in the modal).
- Enter the numeric code from the modal.
- You will be redirected to the Verse in the Oculus Browser.

Communication & Social Interactionβ
Verses provide multiple ways to interact, including:
1. Text Chatβ
- Type messages for group or private conversations
- Moderators can enable/disable chat messages if necessary
2. Voice Chatβ
- Enable microphone access for real-time communication
- Moderators can mute/unmute participants if necessary
3. Emotes & Reactionsβ
- Use the Emote Menu to spawn emojis in the Verse
- Great for non-verbal communication and engagement
4. Interactive Objectsβ
- Users can grab, move, and interact with objects in the Verse
- Moderators and user with specific permissions can lock objects to prevent unwanted modifications
